I am appalled. This isn't going to be good publicity. I might have found it amusing if it wasn't for the venom I spewed at Lane Kiffin and his 13 year old commitment.
It's still just plain wrong..............I mean, let the kid know through his parents that you will be keeping track of him, but recruiting a 12 year old is nothing short of exploitation of a child.
As a Horn I guess I should be a little upset. However, the kid's roots are at OU and the kid can change his mind before he signs a letter of intent. This is kinda like a 4 year engagement -- plenty of time for both sides to change their minds.
If this is an offer for a full schlarship -- that's really nice for somebody playing golf.
The kid is free to decline or pocket the offer.
The kid is free to change his mind if he accepts.
Some people know their favorite college by age 12.
There are worse forms of exploitation than offering scholarships.
