Sorry for the long initial/original post. I had been inquiring about the legitimacy of "The Ticket Reserve", a.k.a First Dibz, a service I had used before succesfully in 2005 but which had appeared to be becoming a scam or bankrupt service. Found out via OrangeBloods that the service was bought out by "Team Ticket Reservations" and that my options are still good. So, if we avoid any Big XII North karma for Roll Left and beat NU Saturday night, I'll have 4 tix in Pasadena on 1/7/10.

Hey Barry - are you talking about the link for tickets from the official Rose Bowl website?

I'm think I'm gonna go that route too. Are you guaranteed tickets or is it auction bidding for reservations?
Thanks

What my post was referring to was a ticket service called The Ticket Reserve (also known as First Dibz) that I used to guarantee tickets for the 2005 season national championship game where Superman lead us to victory over u$c. With that service one can purchase "ticket options" prior to the start of the season (usually about $100 per option... they get more expensive as the season progresses if a team is doing well) and each ticket option gives you the right to purchase a face value ticket (albeit in the end zone) to the national championship game (or to the particular bowl game of your choice... before the season begins or during the season you can choose what particular bowl game you wish to purchase options for). This year, back in January, anticipating that the Horns might run the table, I purchased 4 ticket options for the BCS Championship Game, but a few days ago, when I logged into the Ticket Reserve website, I found that my account information had not been updated and my transaction of purchasing 4 ticket options was nowhere to be found. I got scared that I was being scammed, though in 2005 the service worked perfectly for me. I have since found out that a service called Team Ticket Reservations purchased (?) the options from The Ticket Reserve and is handling those. And in fact this morning I received an e-mail from them and I have exercised my options and have bought 4 tickets to the January 7 game. I haven't checked the link that you are referring to at the Rose Bowl website... probably not the same thing, but I do not know for sure.
