Neighborhood bars

and I mean bars where you can actually sit at the bar. I love Crown and Barfly's, but there bars are tiny. Any around Austin/campus? I goto bars by myself every now and then, but it would be weird to sit at a table by yourself, imo.

I used to go to the Crown and Anchor by myself a lot. If you play darts or pool you will get to know many regulars and before long you'll forget you even came by yourself.

G&S is pretty cool too, but I never went there alone, I've got lot's of friends in south Austin, but not many in central Austin (by Crown&Anchor) where I lived.

Go to showdown. Doesn't get much better than that for a local neighborhood bar.

posse east in north campus. there isn't a big bar but you can easily get a table unless it is a game day for football.

someone mentioned abel's. cain & abel's is a good bar. i used to go there with my law student friends on tuesday night for $1 beer. if you go early, you can get a table and have a good time.

for a good bar to drink beer and have your own table, i recommend posse.

When my friend lived by it we used to go to the Draught Horse a lot, good atmosphere, little older crowd though.
