I am sure the Taliban will remain peaceful in
Afghanistan now that our role there is diminished.
Too bad Pakistan didn't negotiate a peace deal as well.

Today school killings were a direct result of making huge strides in killing terrorists in Pakistan, not making deals with them. I don't agree with deal making, but it seems that innocents are going to die no matter what you do. Its a product of sharing the planet with these dumb fucks. Ruthless dictators that are scared of America turning their country to glass seems to be the best answer.

As of 6 weeks ago, their latest offensive had killed over 500 militants. I assume that there were more since then as everything I have read said that it was going as well as could be expected. But, anytime you are rooting these guys out, they lash out against innocents to try to break the will of the public. Fortunately most of what has come out of the Pakis today sounds like strengthened resolve to kill these ********.

Somebody somewhere should have "empathized" and ascertained that since the Pakistani Taliban isn't up to a fight with the military it would likely use an assymetrical show of force -- armed militants killing unarmed children or other soft target.

I don't know where somebody got the stupid idea that to show "empathy" for your enemies is doing them a favor. . (Oh wait, I do, it was that law-abiding patriotic Ollie North spouting off on Fox News.) You use empathy as an intellectual exercise to psychologically put yourself in your enemies' position so as to be in better position to either thwart, counteract or destroy them.
