Need suggestions for business-class data/voice

This is in central Austin. Here's the problem:

One of our branch locations is using a Birch 384kbps T1 for data and five telephone lines (one of which is a fax). The Internet is DREADFULLY slow, for obvious reasons, and puts a serious limit on the amount of data that we can realistically move between locations. If I remember correctly, they are paying Birch about $225-250/month for this service.

I would like to upgrade them to something a little more usable. I honestly do not care what it is - whether it's cable, DSL and POTS lines, etc. - as long as they can get an upgrade in bandwidth, keep their existing phone numbers, and pay around what they are currently paying. They also have a small NEC PBX system that would need to be compatible with whatever they end up getting. I had looked into Time Warner Business Class and their price was pretty competitive, but I wasn't sure if the PBX could be used with digital phone. (I don't know much about the telecom side of things.)

Anybody have any recommendations?

You may have five channels for voice (64k ea.) and one for data. Yeah, that would blow. Instead of overhauling the PBX, what about just adding a circuit for data? If you're comfortable with telephony, VOIP is always an option as well.

Go with your cableco. We were able to score 40 meg down 5 up, 4 phone lines free long distance for $225 a month. Grande available in your area?
