need recommendation for movers

Moving from Austin to San Antonio after graduation, and I'm not excited about the prospect of hauling the washer & dryer, etc. down three flights of stairs.

Can anyone recommend a good moving company and give me a rough idea how much it would cost to have someone else do it for me. Not the packing...just the loading and unloading. Any other tips would also be welcomed.

Call Mr. Adams at Adams Moving in Austin. He's an old guy that owns a small company and will do loads and unloads, even drive your truck to SA if you like. He did a pack and load for me last year, and I think he charges about $75/hour for two guys, but could be wrong. Tell him the guy he helped to Salt Lake city last September referred you - he'll remember, and he's honest to a fault.

Well, I am the guy that posts here that has a moving company. I stole a candy bar once when I was about 12 years old and I once had to wear a dirty jersey in football practice. Outside of that I'm not sure why this guy is talking smack.

I have a company that is insured and bonded. We have experienced movers and several hornfans posters have used my company. I'll send you a private message to discuss the rest and hope to get a reply from you. Thanks!

I have never used PSI, so you might want to consider that when making your decision.

I have also never used PSI as a mover. But that is because I have not moved. But, were I to move I would chose his company due to the recommendations I hear friends and fellow posters make. I would feel safer knowing I could ban him were anything to go wrong, kidding.

Seriously, give it a fair shake because he comes recommended by people who I respect. We also have a good apartment locator, an Acura/Japanese car repairman, a construction guy, we have it all here.
