Need Pressure Washer Primer

Looking at buying a new pressure washer. I think I will go with the Honda engine, but am somewhat open. Other than a reliable engine, I think I need to look at the pump; but am unsure what I need to look for. Also, are there other things/features that I'm gonna need to concern myself with? Any specific machines and where to find I should look at? I would like to stay in the $3-400 range, but might stretch if its shown that it would be worth it.

Thanks in advance/

If you have a place called Harbor Freight or Northern tool supply, have a look at those two places, prices are good at both.

Appreciate the tip on where to buy, I want to also know WHAT I should buy and why. What should I look for and what to avoid.

Consumer Reports has a good read on it. Also, Money magazine featured pressure washers several months back. In all cases, gas is a MUST for just about any application that matters, Honda is the way to go, Troy-Bilt consistently ranks at or near the top in all reviews, on-board cleaner not necessary, but sometimes handy, go with 2,400+psi or don't bother.

Don't stick your hands in front of the nozzle when it's operating.........

Sorry couldn't resist.

Honda engine is the way to go, also 2500 psi+ will just about cover any non-commercial situation and please don't use it on pressurized wood because it will eat it up bigtime.
