Need new AC for small condo

Where is the best place in Austin to call for a small AC/Heating unit for a 600 square foot condo? The condenser unit outside is pretty small and most of the places I've looked online have info for much bigger units. Need a new air handler too. Anyone know a company in Austin that has replacement units in stock?

Call Hank's Service @ 512.288.5776; tell them that Mark with Ranch Hand Roofing sent you.

Tell them I suggested Hank get out there (vs. one of the techs). His schedule might not allow you to go for a little while, however... so if you're dying of heat, any of the technicians are qualified.

$4100 for a 1.5 ton 14 seer Rheem and air handler installed (includes taxes). This seems really high for 600 square feet, but I went ahead and gave them the go ahead because it's damned hot out there and the tenant was burning up.

I had a new Trane heat pump and air handler installed at my home a few years back and it was less than 4K. Have prices gone way up?

Mark, I gave them your name as the reference so they may send something your way.

The reference was more for some kind of "VIP service"... not anything else. I do solar & power fan installations for their co. & when hail hits A/C systems, I get them to come look for compressors that are damaged to the point of condemned.

Purchasing this AC unit has been an eye-opening experience (definitely NOT a positive one) and I have learned a lot as I continue to research and talk to people I can trust. I will share more about my experience and what I have learned as soon as reasonably possible.
