Need iPhone help

So I got my iPhone in January and just recently figured out how to obtain apps. I've discovered Slacker and Pandora radio, and they're great.

Here's my question: Is there any way to keep the music playing while engaging another app, such as a game, or while perusing the internet or e-mail? Help, please.

No, the only music application that's currently background-capable is the iPod.

That's something I'd like to see them introduce in the 3.0 OS, but it doesn't sound like it's in the works.

I think the solution is to wait for the next release of the OS this summer that apparently supports multitasking. One challenge is Apple doesn't want apps unnecessarily running in the background draining the battery while there are apps such as yours that are more useful if they can run in the background.

If you download Flycast, you can search the web, etc. while music is playing.
