Need help soon: Apartment advice

I'm trying to decide between a one bedroom apt. at Gaines Ranch or the Preserve at Travis Creek. Both are just southwest of downtown and in nice areas. Anyone know how either of those apartments are to live?

I've read some bad reviews about Gaines Ranch, but the rooms look pretty sweet. Please let me know if you or someone you know has lived at either place and if I should be aware of any horror stories. Thanks.

I can tell you that Gaines Ranch is probably built better. Although, when Fairfield built the Preserve their quaility was better than it is now. I doubt this is the type of info you were looking for, but its about all I can give.

I have a buddy who lived in the Preserve about 2 years ago and had no complaints. I almost lived there myself, but decided to live closer to town.

Saw that on Gaines Ranch a few days ago. That story about the dude waking up with a scorpion in his ear is some of the scariest crap ever. Once I read that, I went and signed the lease at the Preserve.

I have some friends at Gaines Ranch and I think they mentioned something about scorpions. I will say that the apartements are huge and have great balconies. It looks like it would be a great place if you like to chill out and have margaritas on a balcony/deck.
