NEED HELP! Odd Hotmail Problem

Both my wife and I have hotmail accounts, but we've had a strange problem pop up in the last week: We can't get into our accounts from our home computer.

I can aceess my account just fine at work, so I am pretty sure there is not a problem on the hotmail end.

We have a dial-up connection through Juno that we have never had any problems with. We don't appear to be experiencing problems accessing any other websites. We both have free accounts on hotmail and, at least in my case, my account is under 1% capacity.

We can get the hotmail login page and type in the account name and password. We hit enter and then the browser just churns and churns and churns. Stop and Refresh don't help.

Anyone got any ideas?

Are you signed into .NET using another email address? Try going to The Link. In the top right, there is a button to sign in/sign out. If the button says sign out, click it to sign out and then try logging into Hotmail again.

After you type hotmail.com in the browser window do you get redirected to another site? You should probably be sent to a login.passport.net address. If you are not you may have spyware that is redirecting you to a site that is designed to look like hotmail but is actually set up to get your username and password.

I would change your password from work and then try adaware and spybot at home. Your hosts file may be hosed.

I am almost certina that the browser is not being redirected, but I will confirm that. I will also download and run some spyware software and see if that does the trick.
