Need help lookin for a new laptop

due to an unsightly Black streak across my LCD screen on my current laptop, I am in the market for a new laptop. Can anyone give any recs as to where I can get a great deal online, or any online coupons? I dont need anything special. All I use it for is lots of internet and some very light multimedia stuff. And of course Microsoft office stuff. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

I checked out slickdeals.net, and didnt see anything outstanding, but anyone know of any other sites I can peruse like that? Thanks in advance.

I am looking hard at the new mini laptops from Dell, HP and Lenovo. They start at $350 and sound like they would fit your needs.

Apple is expected to announce some new laptops very shortly. If the rumors hold up they should be awesome. We'll see.

The Lenovo surplus/outlet website has hit or miss deals. Look for
redistributed category. These are machines that were ordered and built but canceled after shipment. The website says there were returned unopened. Obviously you don't get to choose features.

wouldn't use any of the smaller notebooks for microsoft office.


I got an inspiron 1525 for 500 bucks from best buy.
