Need Help Dog Names

Okay, so apperantly, I got a dog today and I need names. Historically, I've named all my pets after UT football players. But this one is a girl, what names can I use.

"Diogee"...I had a friend name his dog that and he just used the letters to spell out "dog" and put a little twist on the pronunciation. That or Muttilda.

I was kinda hoping to keep in in the Texas Family. I was more thinking of players names that can be used for a female dog.

Like Quan or something.

You could name after the UT volleyball player that I thought was hot when I was in school - Dagsmara Szczechoch (sp?).

Dagsmara is a good dog name (as are Monster and Squirt).

Since it's a female dog, how about "Cat" for Longhorn Olympic medalist Cat Osterman?

I like it because it would also have the weird surface humor of an incorrect species name.

Except nobody ever called Earl "the Pearl." Now, if you are a Janis Joplin fan ... and she DID attend Texas, after all.

How about "Rose," for the Tyler Rose?

Sorry, accurate, we have deemed that the name of the new dog is "Rose" -- both for Earl and that little stadium in southern California that Vince owns ...

Back in the late 50s/early 60s, there were several UT footballers with girls' names:

Bart SHIRLEY
RENE Ramirez
CLAIR Branch
George BLANCH

Satisfies your requirements for UT bkgnd and gender of pet.

"Rose" is great, but you may want to call her "Rosie"... I've heard it from a dog expert that two-syllable, yet simple names are best, so the dog doesn't get confused with one-syllable commands.
