Need help choosing an mp3 player

I have a Sansa c250 and I like it but I need more capacity. I mostly just listen to music on airplanes but I have been known to listen to football games on the FM tuner while at the game. It would also be nice to be able to listen to audiobooks on it, hence the need for more capacity.

I asked for a Sansa Fuze for Christmas but my mother bought me an iPod Nano. I'm kind of in love with it because it's burnt orange but that's not enough of a reason to get over the lack of an FM tuner. I'm also anti-Apple and Microsoft but if it was the best player for me I think I could get over that.

I've narrowed it down to the Sansa Fuze 8GB, the Sansa View 16GB, and the Creative Zen X-Fi. I've looked at reviews by pros and on Amazon. I made a list of pros and cons that I won't bother you with now. Mostly I think it comes down to what features I want but I thought I'd ask for more opinions for good measure.

So what are your experiences? What would you recommend or not recommend, not taking price into account?

I would recommend keeping the Nano and buying a FM walkman to bring to games. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

I will say that I had a great experience with my Zen before I bought my iPod Touch. I went with the iPod Touch because of the WiFi, and because it is such a cool gadget.

The Zen, though, was a great player, and easy to use. The one thing it does have over the iPod is that you can use it as sort of an external hard drive. You just have to drag and drop files to it, you don't have to use iTunes or any other piece of software to put your music on it.

This was one of the older Zens. I haven't used the X-Fi, though, so I'm not sure how it compares.

Hope that helps...

I think MMD has the best idea. Keep two devices so you never have to worry about your music stored. Get a cheapo type fm player for about ten bucks. It will be small and compact and if it falls in excitement or gets smashed in rage, no big deal, get another.

The nano is the best pure music player in our house. The touch is great for all it can do but really a bit big to run with or be inconspicuous. The touch doesn't have a fm tuner but you can stream music from most radio stations with a download.

I saw that FM tuner addition online and thought it was probably a pain in the *** but I saw it at Wal-Mart this morning and it's not that bad. A definite option. FYI, it's $50.
