Need help buying an inexpensive TV/Monitor

I am looking for a 24-26 inch TV for the kids room. I've seen a fair number of deals recently but not much has fit the bill. I am looking to spend $200-$250. Currently we have a separate CRT TV in the room: It is beginning to have problems switching from 1 source to another plus the connections have to be unplugged and plugged into the back; He also has a Core 2 computer in the room.

I want to get rid of the TV and get rid of the computer monitor. I assume that if I get a big monitor, my son can watch DVDs via the computer and that will be just as good as his current DVD player/TV combo. I need to have a computer input for the monitor (I assume a VGA) and a composite or component input for his Wii. It also needs to have speakers so the Wii can have sound. It seems like the lower price range monitors only have digital inputs and the lower priced TVs are refurbished (nothing wrong with refurbished), about $300, and have lower resolutions and response times. Any ideas? Is my price range not possible? I don't want to pay more because it is more of a convenience gift than an absolute necessity. BTW, I don't have a problem with refurbished.
