Need advice on patio cover w/ exterior bench seats

So I bought this house last year that has zero cover on the back patio. I started out thinking I'd just get some kind of basic aluminum cover, but now I'm thinking I'd also like to get some sort of stone/brick wall around the exterior that could also be used for extra seating space. I'm guessing it would be about 8 feet out from the house & another 10 feet across the middle of the patio.

Does anybody know about how much I should expect to spend on this?

I'd also appreciate any suggestions, like what could I do with the open dirt space between the house/porch/fence?

Here is a sketch of what I had in mind. I revised it to show the items that will be on the patio under the cover.

The square's with the circle's in them are supposed to be the columns to hold up the patio cover. I'm guessing it's about 8 feet from the column next to the house (by the "dirt" section) to the column in the center (on outside edge of patio). Then from that column to the house (down the middle of the patio) is about 18-20 feet.

Maybe I should post a picture, since my drawing skills are pretty pathetic??

Stone walls don't make for very comfortable seating. What about comfy patio furniture that you can move around to accommodate the situation? Also, don't know what the roof line is back there, but consider adding a a real roof (2x6 rafters, roof decking, and shingles) if it's not too hard to tie into the existing roof.
