Need a new Putter

I'm looking for a new putter. I use a mallet style now and like that for alignment purposes better than the blades. I am willing to spend up to $200 but no more would prefer on around $100.

I like the Odyssey Sabertooth and the XGs. Don't know if Pings or Nike's have good options.

I've used a silver Ping Anser2 for about 20 years and still really like it. That said, I tried out a Taylor Made Monza Spider and loved it. Just not willing to spend 199 on it yet.

Question, do people that use blade putters use them bc that is what they have used forever and it fits their eye? I've never used a blade so I am thinking I should just stick with a mallet (i am assuming the spider and sabertooth are mallets)

I would imagine they use them because they putt better with them, for whatever reason(s).

I bought a Ping Anser in 1971 - I still have it and use it regularly. But I'll admit that right this moment I'm using a high MOI putter (Maltby) and really like the feel. I'll also admit that I've piddled with other putters along the way and always came back to my original Anser.

Went to golfsmith today to try them all out. Really liked the TM Rossa AGSI and the Sabertooth. I tried to hit the Scotty Cameron blade but probably just need time to get used to a blade. I was left and right where as mallet I am usually straight on or just right.
