Nebraska and Aggie....

Do you think their fan bases think they’re better off now that they quit the B 12.

In a perfect world, wish we could have kept a 10 team conference and not had Kansas and Baylor.

I know it is a fantasy, but sure would be cool to have kept the traditional Texas v Aggie game and Oklahoma v Nebraska game on Thanksgiving weekend. I know there’s logistical issues, but I just think it would be a great thing for both Oklahoma and Texas to both have two great rivalry games like we used to before the conferences were joined.

Everybody thinks we have to have a championship game at the end of the year but I’ve grown to not like it. I also don’t like that we have to play the same team twice in a year To win the big 12. Being that it looks like it’s going to be Oklahoma and Texas in the championship game a lot, I feel like it devalues Dallas weekend. Wasn’t even a big fan of y’all having to play us a second time last year after you had already beat us. Everybody knows that in sports it’s hard to beat the same team twice. One team wants revenge and the other team doesn’t have that mental edge.

Both left crying their eyes out. They won't come back, but to your point they're both in worse places now. Likely to stay that way for some time

Why ditch Kansas? They carry the conference in March. Lot of high profile games during the hoops season too

True about Kansas basketball. Although, I’m a little worried they’re getting ready to get their heads handed to them by the NCAA in basketball. I know this is not a basketball forum, but I think basketball is a very dirty business.

Yes to keeping aggie ( out of B12) but hate our conference championship game. As has been repeated numerous times in this forum, it only serves the financial interests of the conference aholes.

I bet most NU fans know by now that they cut their collective nose off to spite their face but are holding out hope that Scott Frost rescues them from irrelevance. If think they know if he can’t succeed then they are hosed.

Aggy on the other hand... they are the most delusional bunch of idiots on the face of the planet. They’ll convince themselves that the gnarly hole in the middle of their face where they nose used to be is a good look before they admit it was a mistake. (And also convince themselves that getting raped in their nose hole by Bama every year is a wonderful privilege)

The aggies went from an also ran middle of the pack Big 12 program to an also ran middle of the pack SEC program. Ditto for Mizzou.

Nebraska went from one of the top Big 12 programs to one of the worst Big 10 programs.

Colorado went from an upper-middle Big 12 program to a lower-middle PAC 12 program.

Nobody that bailed out of the Big 12 has faired particularly well.

Dishonorable mention for arkie leaving the SWC. Zero success since.

The CCG is just brain dead stupid when everyone plays everyone. The "one true champion" mantra cracked when the conference refused to name Baylor as champion when they had beaten TCU head to head. From there it just gets dumber and dumber. If the rest of the conference would schedule tough games like Texas does non-conf this wouldn't be an issue.

Aggy made their bed, they can lie in it. They are exactly where I thought they would be. I still think they will get better under their current coaches, but I'm wondering if those coaches are going to stick around long enough to produce a winner.

BTW When I say get better, I mean as far as talent goes, they will in no way win anything under Jimbo. He has recruited some positions very well like receiver, DB and Dline, but his QB, Oline, and linebacker recruiting has been the suck, and I don't see that changing. As long as he can't recruit a quality QB and offensive line, he will never win that conference.

I predict aggy will play northwest eastern Illinois in the Memphis Liberty Bowl. After the game, I predict a meeting will be held at FedEx to shore up recruiting.

Delusional would be a compliment. Coach Zapalac was there with Bear. Key person in Junction Boys trip. He and Coach Bryant overheard (were meant to hear) a big alum say that Bear refused to ‘outright guarantee’ annual win over Texas SO they would non-renew his contract. He had just told ‘Bama probably not but he would sleep on going there. That threat was enough. The rest we all know. The goobers bragged about firing that ‘no coach SOB’ until even they realized the idiocy. Hell they also fired D.X. Bible. I don’t think they had a chance to fire Rockne or Stagg

The real stupidity was voters caring about labels that didn't affect the on-field results at all. Up until 2014, when it became a convenient excuse to leave out an up-and-comer to favor a blueblood, nobody ever took the Big 12's co-champion labels seriously. In 2012 everyone considered KSU the champion and that's it, even OU fans weren't proclaiming themselves co-champs. Suddenly in 2014 the co-champs label was a huge deal and meant that the champion wasn't really the champ.
