Two games that should be very entertaining and close. I'm pulling for Stanford to win it all.
 
awesome block by Diggins after a sloppy pass led to a TO. nice penetration and pass for a 3.
 
woohoo! mcbride nails two FTs, UConn down 7 and fouls, putting ND back on the FT line with 22 secs to go. Irish got this one unless they go brain dead.

(isn't there a rhyme in there somewhere...like Little Miss Muffet and Geno her puppet..). I can't think of any other time in the history of the universe I would root for ND, but when the opponent is UCONN and Geno A., oh yeah, I'm an Irish fan...big time!.

stanford missing good looks. can't do that and expect to win. hope they settle in and start hitting those.
 
Kim Mulkey is looking so badly outcoached at this point. The standing around, the lack of involvement of Griner, the Stanford back door plays over and over. Does Kim have it in the X's and the O's department, or does she just rely on athletic talent to win games?
 
very clean game so far. stanford drew griner out with the ability of their posts to hit from outside and was burning them with backcourt passes. mulkey countered that by having griner stay home inside the paint.
 
Chiney fouls out. unless stanford outside shooters heat up, baylor is going to cruise into the championship game. stanford's game plan worked as long as the lady bear guards were missing their shots.
