I prefer scholarships to be renewed annually. You give these kids 4 years and then they will slack off. I don't think giving conferences latitude to dictate terms of scholarship is fair. Some play more dirtier than others, not to mention the already intra-conference issues.

to make things even, coaches should get one year contracts if the players are on that short a leash.

That would be something. With escalating salaries and subpar results on the court, this change in structure would allow AD's to really focus on the "pay at risk" for those coaches that fail to perform.

I'm surprised Texas didn't give Goeswtenkors a 20 year contract considering she was the "best" there was in 2007. 32-32 conference record the last 4 years for 4.24 million dollars. nice ROI.
