if you are going to raise chickens and don't want them after the egg laying is done why wouldn't you just cook them? An Animal Shelter? seriously?

Mine go into the stew pot after they stop laying. Larry is correct, they don't know how to kill, pluck, or butcher a chicken. They like them wrapped up in nice packages that they get at the grocery store. Too bad for the chickens.
