NBA is just fixed

There is no way they should have over-turned that call on the floor; yet they did... they have big balls that's for sure... that being said the Mavs are the biggest chokers in the history of the NBA. That last brick put up by Jason basically sums it up... how can you blow a 23 point lead? How can you blow a 2-0 lead in the finals? Only the Mavs... I'll gladly eat this post if they pull this out....
 
To have Terry miss twice and Kidd miss once on the last three possession say's it all... why bother? I'm a fan but it's ridiculous that these guys can't do it... and they won't do it... it's over... even if they win the series they just don't have what it takes...

It was a 43-18 run... this is the 3rd seed; a 57-win season; it's a travesty... the Mavs should just blow up the roster next year... They are mental midgets but we knew that all along...
 
No OP, the Mavs just shrink like violets when it comes to playoff crunch time. Sure, the refs may have blown a few calls but the Mavs will rarely get the benefit of the doubt on close calls as long as Cuban owns the team and yaps about the officiating. Pure and simple--the Mavs choked this one away.
 
I don't think this stops at the Dallas - Portland series. I believe it also extends to the Spurs - Grizzlies series and furthermore, I think not only are the refs and the commissioner involved in the conspiracy, but the San Antonio and Memphis players and coaches as well.
 
It's one thing to miss a call. It's another to overturn one on replay with no video evidence. One is a mistake, but the other takes intent and 3 people to see something no one else does. I knew once they started debating it was Portland's ball. The time took doing it was just for show.
 
i've gotta agree with the OP. i mean look at the first two games of this series. with the anti-cuban refs trying their best to hold him down, dirk was only able to scrape together 30 total free throws in the 2 games, a mere 15 a game. and dallas only had a 19-2 free throw advantage in the 4th quarter of game 1. if only they could catch a fair shake, those numbers might truly reflect how many calls the mavs have deserved.
 
I really didn't intend to watch this game, but after seeing the 23pt choke, I decided to what the last quarter + 1minute as I had recorded it. Sort of reminded me of when Houston blew it years ago in the football playoffs.

As far as the bad calls, I watched a few minutes from one of the earlier games and I saw Dirk consistently setting extremely obvious moving screens and not getting called for it, and I just turned off the game. It's really hard to watch these games that are rarely called consistently no matter what side you are on, The refs seem to be a huge factor for any teams that are anywhere close in competitive levels, which is most of the playoff games.
 
The reversal of possession was an absolute joke, and I can't believe it's not getting more national attention. They ruled Dallas ball on the floor, which means they need absolute proof that it touched a Mav last to overturn it. NOT EVEN CLOSE. We all saw the replays and they had no basis for overturning that call. Ridiculous.

That being said, Dallas gagged it big-time to even be in that position. As a Mavs fan, I am just so sick of this crap. Tonight should be interesting to say the least...
 
Kidd's shot at the end of game 3 was also a 3-pointer, although Portland made both FTs for a 5-point lead so it almost certainly didn't matter anyway.
 
Well I have to give credit where credit is due... these guys are pro's and they bounced back when I was throwing in the towel. I'm not going to get my hopes up but I respect the emotional strength to come back and take care of business....
 
I don't know if the NBA is fixed, but there isn't a group of officials in the world that suck worse (or that are pizaid better) than NBA refs. Putrid is the only word that comes to mind.
 
It's not just that they call the charge on Dirk which was about as bad a call as you'll see, but it's that with 3 more, the game is pretty comfortable. It's just a huge call to make and be that wrong. Amazing.
