NBA hates kids

That is the only thing I can think after looking at the continued start times for many of these games. Tonight we have a game 7 for the LA series that starts at 1030pm Eastern time. even if you live on the West Coast your child is most likely going to be in bed before the end of the game.

A few months ago the All-star game was played about the same time. I remember growing up and watching the all-star game during the day and getting so excited that I went out and played basketball with for hours with sunllight afterwards.

I'm living in Pittsburgh and the East Coast time is killing me and my sports watching ability!

I don't want to be up 'till 12 or 1am! then have to get up for work at 6/7.

It's aired at a particular time for a reason. To get the first game in prime time for the east coast TV markets and the latter game for the west coast markets.

I don't remember being able to stay up past 10 when I was growing up. And then when I was in middle-school it probably went until about 11. The LA game 7 started at 930.

I have to work early this morning. I am sure the church going crowd also have to get up early. I saw first half and that was it. If NBA likes that then they are losing potential viewership, especially with the younger crowd. Just my opinion.

And the All-star game start time was ridiculously late.

Agree about the time of the games, but what bugs me worst is having 2 or 3 days off between games to draw out the season until mid-June.

Basketball is not a June sport!

No, but there are millions of transplants here on the East Coast that do care, like me.

I'm working on the wife to move back, believe me on that one. Go to a Texas Exes event in NYC on game day- we need not one but 4 different bars to host. There are plenty of Texans and other transplants here.

All the more reason to get rid of it. At least they've tried to keep the bling from being the primary source of lighting.

This weekend scheduling is an example.

Friday the Thunder-Laker game doesn't start until 9:30 CST. The reason? They aren't starting the East game until 7:00 CST.

On Sat the Spurs game starts at 2:30 but the Thunder game doesn't start until 9:30 CST.

On Sunday the East game starts at 2:30 CST but the Spurs game doesn't start until 9:30 CST

As for this weekend, it's because of having both games played at the Stapes center (Saturday) and having to transition from an early afternoon hockey game (Sunday).
