NBA changes Finals format

No more 2-3-2, all rounds will be the same now.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I thought 2-3-2 was better because it lessens the home court advantage, which is totally appropriate for the championship (especially since records are a less meaningful comparison once you're talking about two different conferences) - same reason I'm glad the NFL doesn't play the Super Bowl at the home field of the team with the better record.

I like the 2-2-1-1-1 better. Whether or not home court matters is up for debate, but at least this way, it rewards the team who actually earned it. People complain about how difficult travel is, but I don't think that 4 comfy charter plane trips (when guys would be resting anyhow) truly determine the demeanor of the team on the floor.

What Horns11 said.

Besides, with the TV scheduling considerations, being on the road in the playoffs isn't like it was in the old days when a team would travel and play the next day.

Houston, SA, and Dallas should all be among the top 5-6 seeds in the West. 2 of those 3 teams should advance. If there's not a Texas team represented in the Western Conference Finals, we got very unlucky. 2 Texas teams fighting it out to make the finals is a realistic scenario.
