Magic and Lakers are only teams into 2nd round so far. Would not be suprised at all to see Jazz win on the road and SA and NO take care of business at home and entire Western Conf advance to 2nd round after tonight's games. But we'll see.

Wonder if they will make the West wait a few days before starting 2nd round while East wraps up?

Two series in East that are going to go at least 6 games. I expect Cleveland to roll into 2nd round after next game. Unusual that the top 2 seeds in the East are the ones going 6 maybe 7 games. Cleveland Boston will make for a great 2nd round series and will be the one I watch the most.

With how close the West was all season long, I'm surprised that the East series are generally closer contests.

I think despite Dallas winning more games last year, it would be bigger for Boston to lose in the 1st. They've been hyped so much more than last year's Mavs. The magnitude of an upset is as much about perception as it is about as the actual strength of the losing favorite, IMO.

Y'all are writing off Boston a little too soon. Atlanta is showing that the Celtics can be muscled but they'll adjust. Heck, the refereeing will change during the series as it always doesn. Suddenly Atlanta's big men will get into early foul trouble and it will be lights out.

I liken this Atlanta team to Seattle '05 or '06. That year they were #3 seed and had no inside game but simply beat up their opponents while Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis carried the scoring load. They even managed to beat up San Antonio a bit until Danny Fortson got into foul trouble. Atlanta too will fall due to a lack of talent.

Rockets stay alive. If they can pull one out in Utah they have game 7 at home. Either way Lakers will continue to get some rest, of course this could catch up to them later.

Spurs and Hornets both win and advance to face each other starting this weekend.

Detroit wins and 1 game away from advancing to 2nd round now.

Hornets and Spurs will be everything that Suns/Spurs wasn't. Should be a great series.
