Navajo Fry Bread

I'm going to make an authentic Southwestern dinner for our family get together this Sunday and want to put fry bread on the menu.

I had it once a long time ago and based on the recipes I've pulled up for it so far it looks pretty easy to make. Does anyone have any special tricks or recommendations they can make that'll help me take it to next level? That is, beyond the recommendation that you don't plan to do too much after you eat a lot of it unless your plan is a nice nap

It's as easy as it looks. You can even go the easier route and get frozen white bread dough from the grocery and fry that up. Use it for tacos and/or sprinkle with sugar or drizzle some honey on it for dessert.

Not just "sugar" but POWDERED sugar.

Give your guests a choice between a squirt bottle of warm to room temperature honey OR a duster of powdered sugar.

That's how you'll find it on the rez.

That's what I meant.

On the table, a choice between both. If you want it really authentic, find some of those tiny napkins that cost .00001 cent each & disintegrate before they get within 1/2" of moisture.

It's just standard frozen white bread dough. Haven't looked for it in a while, but it used to be in the freezer case at HEB. It avoids making the dough which isn't that hard, but it does save some time and effort.
