National Championship Game

I could see UW scoring 26 but UM wont be held to 3 by that huskie defense. I am looking forward to the game because it will truly be a contrast in styles and I think if Penix does to UM what he did to Texas then UW has a real shot and more significantly for Penix his draft stock goes even more through the roof.

Michigan fans use OhSt as their “guage” for stopping passing teams, yet they’ve been exposed by Georgia and TCU the past two years. I don’t think they’ve seen anything remotely comparable to Penix and his receivers

I really don't care which team wins this game.

However, I suspect Penix will carve up Mich D and UW will roll to a 7-10 point win.

I think Michigan will pull out the win. Mainly because um will be able to control the LOS and run the ball. I don’t think they’ll need to pass more than 15 times. I also think um’s defense will do what ours could not—pressure Penix all game and knock him down.
I think um wins by 7-10 points.

Until I see otherwise I don't think Michigan pressures Penix better than we did. Hard to gauge this game but I think Washington might be too prolific to outscore.

In the games I have seen Penix play this year I do not beleive he played as well as he did against us. Many of Washington games were fairly close. Can he do it twice in a row? I am thinking many of the passes he hit against us were simply perfect. I am thinking Michigan will have a week to figure out a way to make him work harder. Michigan in a close game.

It's crazy that as good as he was and with two turnovers by us we still had a chance at the end. Ugh.
Because we held them to FG’s at end of game. I was telling the family in the first 3 quarters, if we hold them to FG’s we will win.

I’m wondering if UWs RB will be recovered by game time. He didn’t look good when they carried him out at the end of our game. While UW is obviously not considered a running team that guy is pretty good and presents a credible threat to defenses to keep them honest.

UW couldn't stop our running game and we didn't even really try to run. Michigan will pound that defense all day long and wear them out.

Penix is very good - and he has a bunch of talented receivers. The Meatchicken defense has not seen anything like UW. Um can slow the game down with ball control, but we've already seen that UW can score in a hurry. I'm thinking UW wins by something like 31-24.
