Can someone give me the abridged version of NASCAR rules for earning points?

The higher you place the more points you get.

First place gets 180, second 170, third-sixth decrements by 5 points, 7th-11th decrements by 4, after that it decrements by 3 down to like 35 or something.

If you lead a lap you get 5 bonus pts, if you lead the most you get 10 bonus pts.

There are 36 races in the season, the last 10 are now called "the chase" which is effectively a playoff. The top 12 drivers are included and points for those drivers are restacked with the first place driver get 5050 and then each successive chase driver getting 5 fewer.

Most points at end of season wins.

It is impossible to abridge anything having to do with NASCAR rules.

actually if you the lead the most, it's only 5 bonus points.

5 in addition to the 5 you get for leading a lap. Meant 10 cumulative.
