There are 4 new instrumental albums titled ghosts I - IV that were released last night that are available on the band's website. They said you can download the first 9 songs for free but the website has been bogged down from all the traffic.

Whoever hears it first let me know how it sounds. I will try to download when I get home

I didn't think NIN was still around. Or if they were, they obviously weren't relevant. Then again, the only album I've ever owned is the first.

Is Danny Lohner still playing with them? He's a Longhorn.

for the record, i would not buy these albums. I downloaded the first one and it's horrible. It just sounds like Reznor made it on his computer in like 5 minutes, not even really music, just like 2 minute long tracks of weird noises passed off as music.

if u heard it without knowing who it was, u would have no idea who it was and would turn it off in like minute and a half.

sorry for bringing this topic up

I have 4 of their albums but like Pretty Hate Machine by far the best. Their last few albums have all sounded about the same.

I caught their 2005 tour with Queens of the Stone Age and Autolux and their show was so so (not bad, but I was expecting more). I particularly did not care for their powerpoint political message they tried to deliver during the show.

I downloaded the free package. Listened to it at work yesterday and liked it. It's not something I'd listen to in the car, but it's interesting.

I'll buy the $5 download simply because I'm hugely in favor of this type of distribution.
