So I went down to Austin for the first time since the 2004 Missouri football game. Austin is still as great as ever and I really got nostalgic for the place and didn't want to come back to New York.

My wife and I got in late on Friday night so we didn't have many options for dinner so we decided to go to Trudy's with our friends who also come in from out of town. We basically had an unofficial law school reunion with our closest law school buddies. Trudy's food still sucks but their top shelf Mexican Martinis are still as good as ever. Those things went down very nice and wanted more than the 2 they allow.

I got to go to my first Horns basketball game since the 2003 season. I am a huge hoops fan and I went to as many games as I could when I lived in Austin. They did a very nice job in renovating the FEC and I really liked the improved concessions, graphics boards, and video scoreboard.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get a reservation to Uchi. I am planning on coming for the tOSU game so I will have to try it then. We went to Z Tejas and Salt Lick and both were great. I love Salt Lick and going there is like dying and going to heaven to me.

I did try Capitol Brasserie on Sunday and I thought it was very good. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
 
top shelf is the only way i can drink those mexican martinis. the trick around the 2 per person limit is to drive to the one on lamar or elsewhere after you max out your limit at one.
 
Are you working there part time? Or have you just slept with every hot hostess?
 
Actually, I've only hooked up with one girl who works there. But the place is co-owned by a guy who co-owns a couple of places where I play so they are nice to me. That, and I eat there once a week.
 
If you are at the Burnet and 183 location, have your two limit downstairs and then go up stairs for another two. It's that easy.
 
saturday i just had a girl i was with (who wasn't drinking) order one and set it in front of her. that's how i had 3. problem was i drank it incredibly fast because i didn't want waiter to catch me.
