Some of you knew my stepfather, Richard Cox, who accompanied my mom to UT baseball games over the last 16 years.
He had no love of baseball prior to meeting my mother, having gone to one game previously in his life, a New York Yankees game, which he left early due to boredom.
After going to some UT games, only to provide company for my baseball loving mom, Richard actually started to become interested in the game, and would search the news for results of UT games not attended. Baseball does get in your blood.
If you feel you know the family enough to attend, the memorial service is this Wednesday at 2 p.m., and information is in the linked obituary. Or if you would like to send a card to my mother, Jean Cox, pm me for her address, or express your sympathies to her at upcoming baseball games she attends. Thank you.

David, I was struck by two things when I saw the obit:
1.I never knew Richard was a Phi Delt like me ;and
2. I never knew he was 95 .He was amazingly young looking for a 95 yr old man.
