I dont know if you are talking about the whole thing...Or the beginning. It was smart of him to hustle his *** off when he first hit it because I dont think anyone in the park really knew whether it was gone or not.
He may not have known, but that ball was gone the second it left the bat. I can't imagine the jolt of adrenaline that went through his body when he saw it clear the wall. Honest to god, it would've taken all my strength to still be dressed by the time I got to home plate had I hit that bomb.
What he said. Probably still caught up in the emotion and hadn't seen his vids yet. Maybe he was just making an excuse for racing around the bases instead of takin' it cool.
It's called body english - "it could be... it might be... IT IS!!!!"
The replay on that was greatness, watching his eyes you could tell exactly when he knew it was gone, but even coming around first he was still at "it might be".
I wondered about him slamming the helmut down. I don't blame him, but is there a rule about wearing your headgear while still running the bases? Obviously, he cannot get hit with a ball, since it is over the fence, but for some reason, I wondered if the ump (who was pissing me off all night) might make him stay on base or some BS. I guess I've coached way too much Little League. Nevermind.
