My Josh Hamilton theory

I don't think there's any coincidence to the fact that Josh's bat woke up after the Arizona drinking binge came to light. It's like a great burden was lifted off his shoulders, and he's now free to enjoy life again.

From what I could tell about the whole thing, no laws were broken, but he felt a tremendous sense of disappointment in himself, along with a boatload of shame.

Since the pics were posted, however, he's been on a tear.

A plan is right. He's stopped lunging at pitches that are a foot low and two feet outside. He's regained his eye AND his confidence -- right when the Rangers needed it most!

Bourbon getting on most of the time while Hamilton and Kinsler smack the ball hard sounds like the changes we need to send out a winning lineup. Maybe we'll see the Rangers hit as well as they pitch.

The timing of Hamilton's resurgence at the plate also seems to have corresponded with his going off his ADHD medication.

My son and I had a conversation about the "relief" issue and came to the same conclusion. I wish the guy well in fighting his demons.
