I'm starting the monumental task of cleaning out my filing cabinet. It has been several years since I last did this so you can imagine it is pretty damn overflowing with paperwork.
How long should you keep tax return information? How about yearly property tax appraisals or yearly social security status? I'm just asking for general rules of thumb.
