"Steal from the rich and I'm out robbing banks
Give to the poor and I always give thanks
Got more stories than J.D's got Salinger
I hold the title and you are the challenger
I've got money like Charles Dickens
Got the girlies in the Coupe like the Colonel's got the chicken
Always go out dapper like Harry S. Truman
I'm madder than Mad's Alfred E. Newman
Never gonna let them say that I don't love you"

Enjoy

Throw in "Gas Face" by 3rd Bass.

you have "by the time i get to Arizona" but that whole damn album just gets a rise out of me.

I need to thump that this weekend

Tribe Called Quest - Sucka N**** would qualify for that.

Del the Funkee Homosapien
Lords of the Underground
Leaders of the New School
Pete Rock and CL Smooth
Pharycyde
Nyce n Smooth
Big Daddy Kane
Kool Moe Dee

all would fit in well with that outstanding list you have.

Some of you guys make me laugh...

You must forgive, I'm a hip hop snob. For those that don't know, there is a HUGE difference between hip hop and rap.

The Crooklyn Dodgers was a classic...

Here's a few more (maybe not that exact time period, but good none the less):

SAAB story - LONS (leaders of the new school)
Make room - Tha Alcoholiks
Stress - Organized Confusion
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - Jeru tha Damaja
Proceed - The Roots
Uknowhowwedo - Bahamadia
T.R.O.Y. - Pete Rock and CL Smooth
93 till infinity - Souls of Mischief

What the hell does that mean? There are some solid songs that some are listing here.

A long time favorite of mine is "Space Cowboy" by The Jonzun Crew.

Word of Mouth - King Kut
Mantronix - Fresh is the Word (w/ DJ Tee)

Those 3 are easily on any list I would make in this genre. I remember to this day the first time I heard them and when they were first released. I was very lucky to be surrounded by people with their ears to the ground for new music and feed off of that info.
