i always wanted to take a hooker to the st. elmotel

i go to s. congress every wednesday for some live music at hill's cafe. well this past week i realized a huge empty lot behind the st. elmotel sign.

it has been completely bulldozed and cleaned up.

When I was in the 12th grade I did a weekend ride-a-along with the APD for a sociology class project.

We got a call of a disturbance at that motel. The cop had me hold the flashlight as he pounded on the door. Some crazy drunk dude who was fighting with a hooker in the room busts out the door, right at me. I clocked him with the flashlight and he went straight down - knocked/passed out.

The cop (and pretty much everyone on duty) got a pretty good chuckle out of it...
