My Dogs Get 'The Monday's' Too ...

Pretty damn funny.

I've noticed over the past few months that my Boston Terrier's get the Monday's just like the rest of the old working folk. Every day, especially weekends, my dogs rise with me in the morning. They'll play while I get ready for work, follow me around the house, etc ... but every Monday they just refuse to get out of bed.

Today they barely opened their eyes while I got ready, and I couldn't even lure them downstairs with the promise of a treat. I laughed. Dogs rule. F Monday.

That is all.

My dogs do the same thing, but I think it's that they get less nap time on the weekends, so by Monday, they are worn out.

Fridays > Mondays.

My dog whines outside my door at 6:30 on the weekends because he hasn't figured out why I haven't come downstairs yet to walk him. Of course, if I leave my door open, he will come in and lie down and just wait until he sees the slightest movement.

What is funnier is for the longest time my weekend routine was to get up, walk to the park with him and throw the ball for 20 minutes and then come back, grab my wallet and keys and go pick up breakfast. The dog gets to ride along in the car. One Saturday I decided the waistline could afford to skip the kolache breakfast. Five minutes later I hear the dog just going nuts downstairs. He was waiting by the door for me to take him on his car ride.

prior to wife and kids, my dog definitely understood the weekends. He knew that we slept till 8 not 6 and that we'd take a walk and then shower and off to grandma's for breakfast. On weekends were I stayed home all morning he'd go sit at the door waiting to go visit grandma and grandpa. Days where I didn't go to work that weren't the weekend would always through him off.

Now the wife and kid are around, he routine has gone to hell, but he still knows that saying "want to go to grandma's" means to go to the door he's going for a ride. My wife and kid have learned not to say that out loud unless he's coming as he'll get pissed and **** all over the house if he thinks he was left at home.

Mondays, no apostrophe.

My wife is a stay at home Mom with young ones not it school yet and the dog (yorkie)loves it. But she goes from running around and playing with the kids to hopping up on the bed and moping when she hears the hair dryer because she knows my wife/kids are leaving...
