admitted to UT!!! We weren't sure of her chances being an out-of-state and homeschooled student. My daughter just corresponded with a friend of hers who told her she found out she had been admitted to UT about two or three weeks ago.

My daughter just assumed that she must not have been admitted since she had not received a letter. However, she checked her status online a little bit ago and found out she has been accepted!

Dad is quite proud.

Ha, funny. You know there are places named 'Oakhill' outside of Austin and Texas.

However, the sw portion of Austin is where my username is derived. I never changed my username when we moved in '02 - live in 'Bama now.

Congrats!!! My son is going to graduate from UT in May and I remember how excited we were when he got his acceptance letter. He went to a large high school (Cedar Park HS) and he wasn't quite a top 10%-er although he had good grades. He was fortunate that the Computer Science applications were down a little that year so he was able to make it. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy her experience at UT.
