I have read anecdotally that you should bring ear plugs. Don't get all macho. It is going to be LOUD.

I went tonight. Glad to have earplugs attached to my keychain.

I have to say, that was one of the worst shows I've been to. Didn't help that it was in the renovated-but-still-crappy Austin Music Hall, and you could hear absolutely no vocals. The 15 minutes of noise at the end was painful.

did they play anything off of "loveless"?

if so, you're not supposed to hear any vocals.

In the end, i decided not to go. It's hard to recapture that magic and i am not one for nostalgia.

Even though I would personally consider "Loveless" one of the greatest albums ever recorded (1991), i was just not all that amped to hear it played on 11, eighteen years after the fact.

They played a lot of stuff off Loveless. Great album, but shoegaze live just doesn't work sober.

I remember seeing Lush and Ride play at the Backroom and thought that show rocked!!
But I may not have been entirely sober.
