MW Tennis play for Big XII titles today

Men and Women are in Big XII tournament finals today. The men face aggy and the women play Baylor. Men have beaten aggy twice this year but have lost against A&M the two times we have played them in the conference tournament finals. Winnning today could be important for seeding purposes in the NCAA as the men are ranked third. They have been in final four the past two years are well placed for another deep run. The women will be underdogs against a very good Baylor team and can help their seeding with a win too.

Both matches start at 1.

Yes great to see both squads in the champhionship match; unfortunately both just lost the doubles point but hopefully the squads will pull it out in singles. A loss by the men probably wouldn't impact their seeding very much, in particular as they have already downed the ags twice. A win vs. the nation's #1 squad would make a huge difference in terms of seeding for our women though..for some reason they have really struggled with doubles and have lost the point too many times to less talented squads this season....I know they are working on this and in all fairness they are facing the country's top team today. We'll get a better indication of where they're at during the NCAA tourney.
 
Great win for the men, and even though the women lost 4-0 to Baylor, I have to say they played a great match. Baylor was up 3-0 for what seemed like forever and the match actually lasted longer than the men's....we were up in all 3 singles matches still on court after Baylor sealed the win, and four of six single contests went to 3 sets. A win is a win and a loss is a loss but the women fought hard and are definitely getting better all the time. Good luck to both squads in the NCAA tourney!
 
There were a bunch of obnoxious ******* loudmouthed aggy at the tennis match.


But, as usual, they're going home with yet another loss to Daddy Bevo.

nice win for men. The doubles point didnt turn out to be critical though it could have been.

Women battled and the 4-0 score is not indicative of how well they played with 4 singles matches going to a third set.
 
Great Win! This is a special team and prolly the closest knit squad in quite some time under Center. Win Should keep us as the top seed one of the regions and maybe a #3 overall. UF or USC could have been the other 1 seed if a team ahead faulters! A lot of 2 or 3 seeds could win (even A&M has a great chance), but Texas put themselves in a great position to win NCAA!!
Damico is prolly the deciding factor. If he gets hot, I love our chances!!!
 
It was a fantastic match, Ed had to work his *** off to get that last win. Very proud of you guys, it's always nice to hear quiet aggy fans after having taken 3 losses against your daddy during the season.
