Music @ B/CS between innings...

Anybody else catch it? I'm watching on FSSW and after the 7th inning stretch, they played the theme to "The Rifleman" over the P.A. system. Hahahaha...too gay!

They play the tag from The Rifleman after every strikeout. The fans sing, "It makes you feel so good!"

The last time I went to a game down there, we countered by singing, "We're still ahead of you."

Why is the theme from The Rifleman any different than The Cotton Eyed Joe? Oh yeah...it's not. Both are played by aggy.

I thought it was the theme to Gunsmoke, which would at least make sense in an aggy sorta way.

They also play a short clip from the opening to the rifleman on their jumbotron. They've been doing this for a couple of years now at least.

I was pretty sure it was the Rifleman because I watched it as a kid 50 YEARS AGO! Ha! And you're telling me a video clip is played on the jumbotron at each game? That is lamer than I imagined. No closet love for Chuck Connors there, is there? Or maybe it's for Johnny, his son. Either way when I heard that last night I wanted to run around the house yelling "Hey Paw!" to anyone who would listen. Above all that, I was sitting in church this morning with that song stuck in my head! But you have to admit,,,that was one cool rifle.

While hoping the Ranger would have fared better, I did catch some of the "between inning" music in the background this past weekend. They played the opening chords to Duran Duran's "View to a Kill". Classic!!!

I heard many years ago that Chuck Connors was gay and came out long before it was o.k for actors. to do so ; not that there is anything wrong with that. If that is accurate, then the closet cowboy is a perfect tie in to all things aggie.
