With Coach Akina back focusing on what he does best and with the addition of Muschamp, this defense overall has got to be better than the last couple of years, especially in pass defense.

My congrats to Coach Akina for being such an incredible team player. He may not have had the greatest year as a defensive coordinator, but I truly admire and respect the man. He is the ultimate in class.

I would not have have the excitment I currently have for next yar if this move had not taken place. I can't wait to see our D next year!

Another aspect of Akina is his impact on the new coordinators that come in. Robinson did not do it all himself, neither did Chizik. Akina was a massive part in their success and schemes. Massive.

He knows the kids, their talents and strong/weak points better. He knows their tendencies. He brings the new guy up to speed and helps with whatever he is asked to do.

So if Boom ************ does a great job, it is because of the help and assistance that Akina, our ultimate team player has given. It should not be forgotten. It won't be Muschamps show, it will be all of them doing their job and role.

The Tony Franklin that is OC at Auburn is not the same Tony Franklin that was the kicker at anm. I believe Auburn's current OC was a running back at Murray State.

I wonder how many kickers land jobs as offensive coordinators at major college programs.

I'm looking forward to watching Muschamp's Defense next year. I'm glad we got rid of the Co-Title for our Coordinators. I think he'll get the best out of our young players.
