It will be interesting to see how the media treats this story including the trial and potential foreign relations problems. Sad for the young man who was killed by cowards.

Are you implying that the teens had a properly registered firearm? The laws as written weren't followed so I doubt any other law would have stopped these killers.
 
Fairly certain those teens were in illegal possession of the firearm. More laws would not help...
 
They should face a firing squad. Let us see if the the reverend Al or Jesse or our president speaks up.
 
I've been through Duncan going to get afalfa hay back in the day when I was going manual labor to get money for college. Nothing special community out in Oklahoma farm country. Don't know the source of the anger and stupidity that led to this killing, but sadly enough there are no easy answers.

On the positive side, this kind of stupid violence is actually a lot less common now than it was 20 years ago. As for what this says about "society" Husker, I'd say "society" is not relevant because this kids are not full participants.

This weekend I watched an event where hundreds of kids are expending hundreds of hours practicing to be the best high school band in the country and it's been a really fun, positive experience for these social participants. I helped some
Boy Scoiuts at a local festival. Dozens of nice kids and dozens of parents worked tirelessly in concessions, parking and helping as crews for visiting balloonists get their rigs launched and packed up. Society around my kids and my friends is great. We just need to figure out a way to widen the circle and get more kids energized about doing good.
 
If I were universal ruler (which I'm not), one of my first acts would be that when juveniles committed acts like this, they would simply disappear. No coverage. No photos in the newspaper. No articles trying to "understand" their plight. They would simply be removed from society. I firmly believe that we've got too many kids who for some reason think that any kind of fame or notoriety is going to somehow make their life more interesting.

It's ironic that in an age where we have so much at our finger tips, we've never heard so many kids claim to be "bored". But that's a whole other discussion. And writing that sentence made me feel old...
 
If I was the Universal Ruler, after being proven guilty, all three would be publicly hanged at the county square and left to rot for 60 days with a "Murderer" sign hung around thier necks. After 60 days they would be cut down and buried in unmarked graves. The parents that made the comments "I dont believe my son is guilty" and "Thats my baby , too" would be forced to come each day to view the rotting corpses and not be told where the bodies were buried.

What will probably happen, due to their ages is that two will serve 15-20 years and be released before they are 40 years old. The one driving the car will serve 5-10 years and be released.

Maybe if the kid was packing he would have had a fighting chance and then the great Reverands could have cried race discrimmination!!!!!

I hate to break the news to you race obsessed jerkoffs but thrill killing has been going on for a long time. Ever heard of Leopold and Loeb murders?

And before you start stringing people up, as our resident neo nazi/commie suggests, I would remind you of the central park rapists of twenty years ago, The cops got confessions, which the kids all repudiated when they got lawyered up, but a jury of their peers shipped them off for long sentences and they all got cleared when the actual perpetrator was ensnared by his DNA.

There is a reason why the founding fathers of texas insisted on trial by jury for accused citizens.

Lynch mobs are an ugly sight and innocent people can get killed by the rush to judgment. A white guy got killed, let's go hang some n*****s has a long pedigree but does us no honor.
 
FoxNews just ran a replay of Obama's statement about the Trayvon Martin - Zimmerman case, that was on issued on March 23, 2012.

At that time, President Obama took that particular killing so seriously he said if he had a son he'd look a lot like Trayvon, and also said this incident should and will be taken extremely seriously by the country.

The driver of the car confessed, or implicated the other two minors as the fellow perps. Without that confession it would be easier to say the crowd is jumping the gun with condemnation. With the confessions it is quite warranted and especially so with the lame *** "bored" reason.(should be Travon related I'm sure it will come out later)

Are you suggesting that makes it a crime rooted in racism? It can't be. The perps were black(2 of the 3) and the victim was white. It doesn't fit the agenda of the MSM, Jackson, Sharpton, and libs in general. Must be more of a social issue. Perhaps these young men were mistreated by whites in the past and somehow, someway this led them down the collision course they were on. As one California congresswoman once stated "We must understand the rage."

Even more asinine is to make it a gun control issue as someone on this thread suggested.


Let's face it people, racism is just as prevalent in the black community as it is in the white community. Same with Hispanics, etc . . . It's just that the outrage isn't nearly as evident or obvious when it manifests itself as it did in this case.
 
Black on white violence is something of an epidemic in this country. It is usually given almost no coverage by the main stream media and if they do report it, they play down or don't mention the race angle at all, just as initial reports of the Florida school bus beating didn't mention the race of the attackers or the victim.

Larry T Spider is correct on parenting. Sometimes there is simply a bad seed that comes from a good family, but for the most part, good kids come from good parenting. Values, morality, aspirations etc are instilled at an early age, usually by the age of six and then reenforced and nutured the rest of childhood and early adulthood. It very easy to see and listen to the parents/relatives and see why the three murderers are lowlife degenerates. Then look and listen to the murder victim's family and girlfriend and understand why he was a good young man.
 
Here is a very similar crime commited this week. An 88 year old, white WW2 veteran was beaten to death for no apparent reason by two African Americans (est. to be 16-20 years old).

In the CNN report of the crime, see if you can find a mention of race anywhere. The only way you know it is black on white crime is by the pictures.

All the headlines say something like "88 Year Old WW2 Vet Brutally Beaten To Death By Teens". This is the main stream media covering up a serious problem in this country.

The race baiters really screwed themselves and the image of the people they supposedly want to help on the trayvon case. A white person is much much more likely to be murderered by a black person than the reverse. I've read 33X times higher. Every heinous incident will now be portrayed in the light of what a black person is doing to a white person instead of just an isolated incident of stupidity. The mainstream media might not cover it, but look at what we are talking about in the OK and WWII incidents.
