Yum. It is now open on Manor Rd. (near the Y just east of IH-35). Good stuff and great service. I first had it after the Baylor game and it is in my belly as I type. Good stuff folks. Stop by say hi and enjoy...I do. It should be nice for those that live in central Austin or find themselves in those parts for some reason or another.

Just wanted to share this nugget of nourishment with ya. Oh, they are very Longhorn friendly, btw but Ags are welcome too, I am sure.

The brisket is awesome, beats anything that Houston, Austin, or Dallas BBQ restaurant can throw at it. However, Coopers in Llano....still kicks tail.

I've already been there twice in a week. Great brisket, and I had some great pork loin today. I liked their potato salad but not their cole slaw.

I understand that the restaurant is the product of yet another barbecue family feud. There is apparently a sign at the Louie Mueller's in Taylor that the Austin store is not related to Louie's.

The BBQ there is AWESOME. My buddies I went there after hearing about it and having eaten 1 and a half cheesesteaks each at Texadelphia after the Kansas game. The service is great and they give you samples before you order. The brisket was so good we were able to finish off more than a pound and a link of sausage despite being full.

The brisket was wonderful, it was moist yet not fatty which is the Holy Grail of how brisket should be in my book. They had two BBQ sauces and I liked the spicier one with the chopped onions. Too bad I graduated this past summer or I would have gone there at least once a week. It is not fair the Austin area has so much wonderful BBQ. What I would give to have Mueller's in Houston. I never eat BBQ in Houston since it does not even come close to CenTex BBQ. Hell there is nothing in Houston even as good as Rudy's.

Tried to go today. Apparently, the bad weather had created a difficulty.

When we pulled into the parking lot, the owner's wife was outside, telling us that they were closed. She said "we're not open, my husband didn't get his morning wood until 9:00 a.m."

Not wanting to challenge the disclosure of such obvious personal information, we went down the street to Hoover's.

I swear to God, the above is an exact quote.
