Respects to his family and friends as well as all those they came in contact with throughout the years. Being a coaches wife has to be a demanding role. She is every bit a Longhorn as Coach so I give a second

Maybe some former players or staff can read about this and be able to attend. Thanks for posting.

I did my internship in the SID at Texas in spring 1979. I spent a lot of time visiting with Coach Manley and eating the cheddar cheese that Glenn Brown (Exxon Radio Network PBP guy and dairy lobbyist) would bring by. Coach Manley explained a lot to me about offensive line play, and taught me that to really appreciate a game, you watch the line of scrimmage, not the quarterback or running back.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Manley. My prayers and condolences to the Manley family.

I worked with Johnnie Manley at the Austin National Bank back in the mid 70's. She was the receptionist for the Trust Department. A truly lovely lady.

Glenn Brown has season tickets next to me at DKR, but the last couple of years, his attendance has been sporadic. What a great guy. He even kept stats during the games, I guess a leftover from his days in the pressbox. I always knew how many yards Ricky Williams had at any point during a game! I remember him telling me during the 2005 season that he believed it was the "best Texas team he'd ever seen." Glad he was around to see the championship!! I miss him, wish he and his wife were in good enough health to attend a game this year.
