mp3 player advice needed

i want to buy an mp3 player for running. i know that i need to get a "flash memory" player instead of a "hard drive" player, but i also want the player to be water resistant as i run outside & i live in houston.

does anyone know what the best player out there for my needs is? i would like to get @ least 512 mb of memory minimum. thanks

water resistant? good luck with that, just look for few movable parts and sealed rubber buttons, but i don't know of too much out there. you might want to look for something that has a waterproof case as an option. that might be your best bet.

i would indeed check out the ipod shuffle. it's pretty slick, light, and tiny. you can get an armband for it as well.

maybe nike makes a waterproof model?

get a shuffle and an armband an youre set. they also have waterproof pouches if you really need it that waterproof...

1) rechargable battery powered when i want disposable
2) not @ least 512 mb
3) bulky design

If the device has a slot for SD/MMC cards, you can throw an extra gigabyte at it for about $70.

I have a Creative Muvo TX and have been very happy with it. I'm not sure how much moisture you're planning on subjecting it to. If you're just talking about humidity, it'll be fine. I wouldn't run in rain for extended periods, but as long as you don't soak it you shouldn't have a problem.
