i have lived off far west, mesa, or 183 north since 1997. i am now moving to southwest parkway. where do i shop (groceries)? where do i eat?

Well....
There is a big HEB at Brodie/Wm Cannon, an Albertons at Ben White/Manchaca, and Central Market at Ben White/Westgate for groceries. There's also a great little corner store on Southwest Parkway near Republic of Texas Dr. for common stuff if you don't feel like going further to a big store.

As far as eating, there's not a lot immediately close. We usually head down Ben White and go up Lamar. There's a shopping center where the roads meet with a few restaurants (Trudy's, Chili's, Fuddrucker's, SouperSalad, Outback...), and some scattered fast food up Lamar and down the next exit at Manchaca.

I also live on Southwest Pkwy at the Preserve at Travis Creek.

just moved into the preserve as well. we were living at riata but it was too small and we both work down south. didn't make sense to live at riata anymore.

where is this store you said near rep. of texas?

by the way, i took the southwest parkway exit off ben white last night and while on the feeder road, i saw a sign saying that EZs was coming. wow. big EZs fan (i am from SA) and the only one in town is by central market on lamar. :)

what is the best way to get to the trudy's south from the preserve?

thanks!

we moved into the preserve at the end of august, and i love it so far. i think the location is great, and i've never lived in an apartment complex with so many amenities.

whickums-

is that a blue lacy in your sig?

Cypress Grill and Yaghi's Pizza in the Gold's Gym center at William Cannon and Mopac are both great.

Burger Tex is moving into the center on the SE corner of William Cannon and 290. Fu Lai in the same center has good chinese.

Horn21: No- it is my Weim Lola.
Do either of you guys have dogs? We should meet up some time at the dog park if so.

I was mistaken- the Albertons is really a Randalls at Manchaca/Ben White.

The convenience store I'm talking about is called Parkway Market and it's in the little strip shopping center thing right by Republic of Texas (on Southwest Pkwy). There's a liquor store, a Goodwill, a Subway, and some other stuff there, too.

The EZ's they are talking about is off of Bee Caves at Edgegrove- it's kind of up on a hill. There's also a Suzi's, a Freebird's, and a McCallister's Deli. There's also an Amy's Ice Cream in the Westgate shopping center next to the Central Market.

If by "around there" you mean the Bee Caves area. They're at Spyglass and Barton Skyway. I've only been once but defintely want to try them again.

The Sunset Valley shopping center on Brodie has a Schlotzsky's, Marie Calendar's, Johnny Carino's, Fire Bowl, Marble Slab, Luby's, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and a Texadelphia. There's a Red Robin in the Kohl's parking lot as well.

two more questions.

1) where is the nearest barnes & noble?

2) how is that movie theatre at west gate? what movie theatre should i go to? the two by barton creek mall or the one at west gate?
