Moving to Round Rock

My buddy owns Pacific Star at 79 and I-35. Good gumbo, seafood, oysters, etc. Oh, and VERY cold beer!!!

Isn't there a Pacific Star on 183 up around Anderson Mill?

Also, just fyi, technically beer isn't supposed to be served "VERY cold". I hate it when I see that.

I'm with Durkee on the beer.

Gumbo's at 620 and I-35 is excellent. Louisiana Longhorn Cafe in downtown RR is very solid.

And hey, now maybe you can make more of my tournaments!

It's not exactly like you're moving to Mars. After all, it only takes us 30 minutes or so to get from Brushy Creek to the Brazos parking garage on gamedays.

And I can damn near see Godzillatron from up here.

Pacific Star & Louisiana Longhorn are pretty good, and I'll second that about Gumbo's & include Mainstreet Grill (reserve The Vault).

I know, tough work psychically calling that ace out of the deck for your A7 over my QQ.

Yeah, I need to find more fish buddies for the tourneys, they're getting a little too stout. I'm going to College Station this weekend, maybe I can meet some feebs there.

Sooner, playing aggy in cards would be profitable.

And are you sure it was a/7? Thats a looser call then I would like to make. I probably had ak.

I'm 100% positive it was A7. It's OK, we were 4 handed, and I didn't have that many chips, and you open raised from teh button and I shoved from BB. I don't think you could/should have done anything different (except not suck out ha)

I remember saying "here comes an ace", putting my head down on the table, and then hearing the "OHHHH" from the other players. Stupid poker.

Some places I like...
Louisiana Longhorn Cafe
Saccones (620 near Round Rock High School)
620 Cafe and Bakery
I still haven't been to Gumbos or Juniors Ice House but have heard good things about them
There are a few good chinese places but haven't found one that I really love yet. The two I like the most as Hunan Ranch near Avery Ranch and whatever the place is called off of IH35 and 79. Also, at IH35 and 1325 there is tons of chain restaurants.

If you don't mind a slight drive, Georgetown has some good places to eat such as
Dos Salsas
Monument Cafe
Romeos (same on the one on Barton Springs)
Wildfire
The Pit BBQ

Roundrocktexas.gov always has a list of events going on

I would ditto the call on Dos Salsas in Georgetown. It is on 29 just east of I 35 in a converted Dairy Queen. I have been to Gumbo's also and it is VERY good. You can't go wrong with those 2.

Gumbos' - definitely the best place in RR

Others that kick *** (note the BBQ and Tex-Mex theme)
Rudy's BBQ
Chuy's
Mesa Rosa
Waterloo Ice House
La Margarita

Y'all should check out Louisiana Longhorn cafe. Gumbo was awesome there.

Any opinions on the Greek, Italian, Indian places over by the wal mart?
