Cokie needs to learn to not move into the defender. she slides into the defender or sticks out her knee, obvious calls for the ref.
I don't like how our players don't run the defender into screener, leaving too much room between them and the screener. Cokie is trying to help close that gap and get her teammate open but moving into the defender only leads to having fouls called on the screener.
+1 moving screens are a killer this season. such a waste of a foul on our bigs! as others have said, our guards aren't using the screen...leaving way too much room for the defender, which then prompts our posts to move (hips, knees, etc) and get the moving screen call. i'm not a big fan of the high screens, especially with AG and Cokie. Earnie does well with the high screen because she's more of a 3-pt threat. if her player sags or hedges on the screen, she'll pop it from the outside.
Practice, practice, practice those screens until they can do them in their sleep. Repitition is the key to learning. And if they are doing them wrong in practice it will translate in a game. Stop them and correct them in practice so they'll stop bad habits. This is another area where discipline is lacking. You do it wrong everyone owes me 5 suicides. It's do it RIGHT or RUN!!!
