Moving in Austin

Anyone know of any good moving companies? I hear Apple is pretty good. Other thoughts?

I have had breat luck with Alba Moving Service ... great prices and quick. I used Blue Whale for a long time before they became too big, and jack up prices to match the national movers. They good work as well, but way damned overpriced for local moves.

I have used Blue Whale my last two moves. The best moving company I have ever used. I actually don't mind paying a little extra to make sure my things get to and fro w/o anything banged up.

now that I think about it, they were only slightly more expensive than say...Longhorn Moving. Speaking of these ********.... not only were they 3 hours late with no explanation, they damaged 2 pieces of furniture (only slightly). When I called to let them know, they gave me the run around big time. They make it so difficult to get your furniture fixed that is almost not worth the time.

i used apache once. it was a mexican dude and white dude. white dude was released on bail earlier in the day. mexican dude kept calling me "dawg" and "b". as in "Yo, B, this sofa is heavy" and "where you want the tv, dawg?"

they did some great work. he saw my guitars and amps and he said "****, b, i play the bass, we can get some **** together, whitey here (his partner) can ******* play the tamborine or some **** and **** the ladies".

it was epic.

I would like to second Henry's idea of referring to scally as "B" from now on...THAT would be epic, dawg
